Our extensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is designed to support school staff at all stages of their career, to enhance and broaden their professional knowledge, skills and expertise, whilst also improving pupils’ learning experiences and achievements. Based on national and local education initiatives and also areas identified by schools, the CPD programme is designed to support individuals’ needs and improve professional practice

Although we predominantly provide effective CPD services to schools in Essex we also offer our services to schools in other authorities

Forthcoming Events

	Implementation of the EYFS revised framework - various dates A briefing session to deliver the key messages of the revised Early Years Foundation Stage framework which will become statutory from September 2012.
	Olympic-themed courses The Olympics offers an opportunity to engage children in learning based around this exciting event. We offer courses using the games as a theme for lessons. Please click on 'Olympic-themed courses' in the 'Information Channels' menu, below left.
	Safer Recruitment (accredited) This one day accredited course is aimed at school leaders and school governors who are involved in any staff appointments.
	Middle Leadership - starts 09 July 2012 Have you just taken on, or about to take on, a leadership role? Then this 3 day course could be for you.
	New Headteacher CPD Package (EHP) Are you in your first 3 years of headship? We are able to offer a comprehensive CPD package for new primary headteachers.
